These pads have a water-feed hole, and can be used with tools designed for the granite and marble trades.  They can also be used dry with hook and loop paper discs.  The 5/8-11 arbor is for tools with straight rotation.  For dual action pads click on the "DA Pads" category in the left margin. 

The drill pad has a straight shank for slow speed use in drill collett, and does not have a water-feed hole.
